What are some dream scenarios that could help the Minnesota Vikings return to the playoffs in 2022?

Expectations are higher than they’ve been in quite some time for the Minnesota Vikings in 2022. A new era dawns with head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, who’ve been busy putting the right pieces in place throughout the offseason in pursuit of an instant return to the postseason.

It will not be easy on a tough-looking schedule. But the Vikings have more than enough quality from top-to-bottom across their roster to be extremely competitive, at the very least.

Minnesota’s new decision-makers have tinkered with the team rather than overhauling it this spring. This gives them the best possible chance to win immediately and hopefully, it can be the start of a brighter future for the Vikings moving forward.

Without further ado, here are five dream scenarios for the Vikings in 2022.

Vikings benefit from weak NFC North

With Davante Adams no longer on the Green Bay Packers and questions surrounding the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears, the NFC North might not be all that difficult in 2022. Aaron Rodgers is still a significant threat, but there is a chance the reigning NFL MVP regresses given his age and without his most prolific weapon in the passing game.

The Lions could improve and Chicago is going through an obvious period of transition. All this points to encouraging signs for the Vikings providing they get their own house in order, first.

If Minnesota reaches the level expected and the division becomes weaker, then a potential title charge is well within their capabilities.
