5 best pairings on the Minnesota Vikings roster in 2022
By Dean Jones
Adam Thielen & Justin Jefferson – WRs
There is no doubting which pairing is the best and most consistent where the Vikings are concerned. Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson are a phenomenal wide receiver duo that wasted no time in forming a close bond en route to some lofty numbers along the way.
The chemistry between Thielen and Jefferson is there for all to see. Both players have an electrifying capability to make big plays at will and this is something that should benefit quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Vikings considerably in 2022.
Thielen might be heading into his twilight years, but his route-running is exceptional and this is matched by an outstanding presence on key downs to move the chains. Although the wideout hasn’t eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards since 2018, that can be attributed to injuries and hopes are high providing he can remain healthy for a prolonged period.
Jefferson is even better. A truly elite weapon that has taken the NFL by storm since he fell into the Vikings’ laps at No. 22 overall in the 2020 draft.
With 196 receptions for 3,016 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns from his first two seasons, Jefferson is already a superstar. Any further improvements in Year 3 of his professional career would undoubtedly make him the best player at the position Minnesota’s had since the iconic Randy Moss.
