Bringing technology into practice

Finally, a topic that doesn’t focus on someone named Phillips. Still, both the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive coordinator and the defensive tackle can find themselves getting an advantage from a brand new addition to the facility at Viking Lakes in Eagan.

It’s no secret that the former regime was old-school. Both Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman handled their jobs in a very traditional and time-tested way, but the team is looking to step into the newest generation with things like large screens at the practice facilities and analyzing metrics.

During practice, the Vikings can run and play and then bring the play up on the screen to dissect the action and look at every player’s execution to clean up any mistakes. And that’s just one example of how technology will help immensely.

This younger regime wants to run things their way and it is something relatively new to Minnesota. Since Viking Lakes itself is relatively new, why not take advantage of everything it is capable of doing?
