Connection to Vikings: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah

If you’ve been paying attention to anything having to do with the Vikings this offseason, you’ve probably heard a rumbling or two about former Cleveland Browns center JC Tretter being a possible addition to the roster.

Minnesota currently seems to be committed to Garrett Bradbury as their starting center for the 2022 campaign. But is the Vikings’ new coaching staff going to feel the same after they put the pads on in training camp and they witness Bradbury getting thrown around like a rag doll?

Tretter has been in the league since 2013 and he spent the last five seasons with the Browns. With Cleveland in 2021, he started 16 games, and he was graded as the sixth-best center in the NFL by PFF.

Watching Tretter from the Browns’ front office during the last two seasons was current Minnesota general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. If the confidence in Bradbury starts to crumble in training camp this summer, it wouldn’t be a shock if Adofo-Mensah gave Tretter a call to see if he can help the Vikings.
