5 Vikings players who could become stars in 2022

If Brian O’Neill is the most likely to become the next star player for the Minnesota Vikings, running back Kene Nwangwu has to have the second-best chance of being a player who gains a ton of attention this season.
Minnesota will still be featuring Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison in their rushing offense but it was special teams where Nwangwu shined last season. Had he handled more returns for the Vikings last year, he may be the favorite to be the next star of the purple and gold.
Nwangwu handled 18 kickoff returns for 579 yards and scored on two of those last season. If he can project those stats across the entire 2022 season, he would be in line for a Pro Bowl nod and some excellent highlights by the media.
He could get even more highlights if he is thrust into a role on offense and can showcase his speed and elusiveness. The Minnesota Vikings are grooming him to do great things and so far he has taken on the challenges well.
