Heading into the 2022 NFL season, which current members of the Minnesota Vikings should be considered the most overrated players on the team’s roster?

Every offseason for the Minnesota Vikings and the majority of the other teams in the NFL is all about hype and optimism.

No matter how poorly the Vikings finished the previous campaign, by the end of the offseason, many members of the fan base have convinced themselves that the team has the talent to compete near the top of their conference.

Optimism is especially high this year with Minnesota now being led by a new regime that is headlined by head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. With O’Connell just helping the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl, Vikings fans are excited about the potential of the team with him as their head coach.

But as nice as the high level of optimism feels at this time of the year, it typically doesn’t take long for Minnesota fans to be brought back down to earth when the flaws of the team force their way into the spotlight.

The Vikings’ roster is full of talent as they head into the 2022 season with guys like Justin Jefferson, Dalvin Cook, and Harrison Smith leading the way. But just as this is the time of the offseason where the level of optimism is high, this is also a time when some of the players from Minnesota’s roster are likely thought of more highly than they should be.

Looking at the current members of the Vikings, which players should be regarded as some of the most overrated pieces of the team’s 2022 roster?
