Danielle Hunter – DE

First off, let’s get this real clear. When Danielle Hunter is on the field, he is one of the best pass rushers in the entire NFL. Recently, however, the problem has been that “on the field” part.

Since 2020, Hunter has missed 26 games for the Vikings due to injury. As good as he is when he’s on the field, staying healthy is a gigantic key to having a successful career in the NFL.

Despite his last two seasons being cut short by serious injuries, Minnesota is still heading into the 2022 campaign with a heavy reliance on Hunter to lead their pass rush. If Hunter goes down with another significant injury this year, it is going to have a huge impact on what the Vikings are able to do on defense.

If his 2022 season is affected by another injury, some major questions about his future in the NFL are going to pop up. Hunter might have more talent than most of the current pass rushers in the league, but that means absolutely nothing for Minnesota if he can’t stay on the field.
