Eric Kendricks – LB

After a pair of seasons in 2019 and 2020 where he performed like one of the best linebackers in the NFL, Eric Kendricks saw his play on the field trend in the wrong direction in 2021.

Kendricks finished the 2021 campaign with a 59.9 grade from PFF, his lowest since his rookie season in 2015. His grade also ranked 37th among all eligible linebackers in the NFL last year.

What impacted Kendricks’ evaluation the most last season was his performance against the run. He ended up ranking 64th by PFF in run defense grade among linebackers in 2021 and he also finished the campaign with 17 missed tackles, the second-highest single-season total of his career.

At 30-years-old, Kendricks’ best seasons are likely behind him, but he is still a solid linebacker. However, he probably shouldn’t be viewed as one of the top linebackers in the league like he once was not too long ago.
