Minnesota Vikings players Adam Thielen, Harrison Smith, and Patrick Peterson all participated in the American Century Championship this past weekend.

It won’t be long before Adam Thielen and the rest of his Minnesota Vikings teammates return to the Twin Cities for this summer’s training camp at the TCO Performance Center. But to help pass the time, Thielen and two other members of the Vikings recently participated in a celebrity golf tournament out in Nevada.

The Minnesota receiver along with safety Harrison Smith and cornerback Patrick Peterson all took part in the 2022 American Century Championship this past weekend. The tournament, which took place at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, featured competitors that ranged from current and former pro athletes, comedians, actors, and other celebrities.

Entering the final round on Sunday, Thielen was the Vikings player that had the best chance to win the tournament. Unfortunately, the Minnesota receiver came up just short of getting the victory. However, he did finish tied for fourth place.

When the final scores were tallied on Sunday, Thielen wound up tied for a fourth-place finish with former LPGA star Annika Sorenstam.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, and current CBS Sports color commentator, Tony Romo won the tournament on Sunday. Former MLB pitcher Mark Mulder and Joe Pavelski of the NHL’s Dallas Stars tied for second place after losing to Romo in a two-hole playoff.

As for the other two current Vikings players that took part in the tournament, Smith left the course on Sunday finishing tied for 27th place, and Peterson ended the event tied for 46th place.

For Thielen, his finish in this year’s tournament was an improvement compared to how he performed in 2021 when he ended the event tied for 12th place. Peterson finished in 23rd place last year, so Minnesota’s veteran corner probably isn’t happy with how he performed on the course during the last few days.
