#4: A slow start leads to massive frustration

One of the best ways to create a positive environment for a team is by simply winning. Even if there are struggles and frustrations among coaches and players, being on the top of the scoreboard every week makes those issues seem small.

For the Minnesota Vikings, having a decent start to the season is essential. Within the first four weeks, the purple and gold have the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New Orleans Saints on their schedule, forcing the team to be prepared very early in the season. Even the Detroit Lions aren’t a walk in the park, and fans learned that last year.

Starting out with an 0-4 record might not mean that it’s time to immediately panic, but if that were to happen, concerns about the transitions the team is making as well as the direction they are heading are likely to pop up.

It would be surprising to see the purple and gold struggle that badly to start the season, but there is always a chance that they just won’t be ready to complete on the same level as teams with established offenses and defenses that have perfected their craft.
