Which Minnesota Vikings players could emerge into alpha status during the 2022 season?

With training camp just around the corner, things will soon start heating up for the Minnesota Vikings ahead of the 2022 season. There is a great deal of excitement in the air after substantial changes across the franchise since the previous campaign came to a conclusion, which could end up with a return to the postseason if everything goes according to plan.

There are a lot of unknowns for the Vikings. But looking at their roster right now, it looks much more promising on paper, at least.

The introduction of head coach Kevin O’Connell only adds to the level of intrigue. Although Minnesota has a stable base of veterans, they’ll also need their promising young stars to come up with the goods on a consistent basis to make noise.

Without further ado, we picked out four Vikings players who could become emerging alphas during the 2022 season.

There is a lot to like about the way Cameron Dantzler‘s applied himself over his first two NFL seasons. The cornerback is an assured presence in coverage with all the natural instincts in the world. Any further progress in 2022 will see him become an indispensable member of the Vikings’ plans moving forward.

Dantzler will have the benefit of veteran All-Pro Patrick Peterson alongside him once again. Minnesota also selected Andrew Booth Jr. during the draft, who could have a big part to play upon returning to full health.

This group might only go as far as Dantzler takes them. If the former Mississippi State standout takes another leap forward, he could be a wealthy man next spring.
