Lewis Cine – S

Lewis Cine has yet to play an NFL down, but his production at Georgia during their national championship triumph in 2021 had alpha written all over it. The gifted safety was a commanding force for the Bulldogs, influencing proceedings all over the field and becoming a major asset in a leadership role to further enhance his influence.

This saw his draft stock soar and the Vikings might have a steal on their hands after picking Cine at No. 32 overall. The early signs are encouraging for the defensive back during early workouts, which could see him line up alongside Harrison Smith right out of the gate if things continue in this manner during training camp.

Cine has the character and mindset to not let this step-up in class impact him all that much. Having so much success during the previous campaign helped and it would be a big surprise if he fell flat on his face as a rookie.

Asking Cine to become an alpha within the Vikings immediately is pushing things slightly. However, this is a role he can grow into as the campaign progresses if he takes on board everything Smith offers in terms of advice.

Any help Cine can provide the Vikings’ secondary will be a major boost. Especially considering the fine margins involved between success and failure in pursuit of postseason involvement.
