A fantasy analyst recently declared that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will have a better 2022 season than Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Entering the 2022 season, Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers are easily the two best starting quarterbacks in the NFC North division.

With Rodgers coming off of back-to-back years that resulted in him being named the NFL MVP, one might assume that he will remain the top signal-caller in the division when the 2022 campaign comes to a close.

However, there are some that believe the Vikings‘ addition of new head coach Kevin O’Connell and the Packers losing wide receiver Davante Adams this offseason could result in Cousins taking over the title in 2022 as the top quarterback in the NFC North.

With it being the middle of the summer, it’s currently the time that many are making predictions about the upcoming NFL season.

RotoBaller’s Kev Mahserejian is someone who recently made an interesting 2022 prediction relating to Cousins and Rodgers.

That’s certainly an eyebrow-raising thought from Mr. Mahserejian, especially since Rodgers is coming off of two straight seasons with at least 4,100 passing yards and 37 touchdown passes.

But he clearly feels that Green Bay no longer having Adams to throw to in 2022 is going to have a major impact on their quarterback’s production. On the other side, his tweet would also seem to indicate that Minnesota’s new offensive scheme is going to have a positive impact on Cousins’ production out on the field.

Last season, Rodgers finished with the 18th-most fantasy points in the NFL while Cousins wound up with the 41st-most fantasy points in the league.

This year, ESPN is projecting the reigning MVP to finish as the eighth-best fantasy quarterback and Minnesota’s starting signal-caller to end his season as the 15th-best fantasy quarterback.

Will ESPN’s projections turn out to be correct during the 2022 campaign or will Mahserejian’s feelings about the two veteran passers end up being what’s closer to the actual outcome?
