No. 6: Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)

There isn’t a more dangerous quarterback in the NFL than Lamar Jackson. The former league MVP has used his elite speed and escapability to make his opponents look silly during his four seasons in the NFL.

Injuries limited Jackson to just 12 games in 2021, so he’ll be returning to the field with something to prove next season. That’s good news for the Ravens, who missed the playoffs last year for the first time in Jackson’s tenure with the team.

The young quarterback is also in the final year of his current contract, so in 2022, he’ll also be out to prove that he deserves to be one of the highest-paid players in the league.

No. 5: Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers)

You’ve got to be a special kind of quarterback to rank this high despite never appearing in a playoff game. But this is the case with Justin Herbert, as he is just too talented to hold his lack of postseason experience against him.

In just his second year in the NFL, Herbert threw for more than 5,000 yards. That is just insane for someone who is supposedly still adjusting to the speed of play in the league.

What in the world could he have in store for his third season in the NFL? At the very least, the Chargers are hoping that whatever he does during the 2022 campaign results in them earning a spot in the playoffs.
