Top 32 NFL QBs of 2022: Where does Vikings QB Kirk Cousins rank?

No. 4: Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)
Following a breakout performance in 2020, Josh Allen had to prove last season that he wasn’t just a one-year wonder. Allen certainly went out and did that last year as he delivered a performance that was arguably more impressive than the one he had in 2020.
Heading into next season, the Bills and their talented quarterback are one of the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl. This is something Buffalo hasn’t been able to do since 1993.
It will definitely be interesting to see if there are any significant changes to Allen’s play next season following the departure of offensive coordinator Brian Daboll earlier this year. But Buffalo’s offense isn’t expected to be much different under new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, so Daboll’s absence might not really make any noticeable impact at all.
This is good news for Bills fans as they should be able to watch Allen continue to develop into one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL.
No. 3: Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)
Patrick Mahomes had what some considered a down-year for the Chiefs quarterback last season. Mahomes only threw for 37 touchdowns with Kansas City in 2021 to go with a measly 4,839 passing yards.
This year, he’ll have to play a season without Tyreek Hill as one of his targets for the first time in his career. Hill was a great weapon for Mahomes to have, but the quarterback has also made plenty of plays while throwing to other targets as well.
Mahomes has been one of the best signal-callers in the NFL since he became a full-time starter in 2018 and we should expect this to remain the same next season, even without Hill on the Chiefs’ roster.
