No. 2: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers)

For Vikings fans, it’s extremely annoying that Aaron Rodgers has been so good during the last two years for the Packers.

After the 2019 season, it seemed like Rodgers’ performance was finally starting to decline. But instead of him getting worse in 2020 or 2021, the Green Bay quarterback went out and put together two back-to-back seasons that resulted in him being named the NFL’s MVP.

Some believe Rodgers could take a step back in 2022 with Davante Adams no longer being on the Packers’ roster. But the All-Pro quarterback has proven time and time again in the past that it doesn’t really matter who he is throwing to because he’s just going to make ridiculous plays no matter what.

No. 1: Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

A 44-year-old as the top quarterback in the NFL? Yes, the fact that he has been able to play at such a high level despite his age is something that has made the last few seasons from Tom Brady even more impressive.

Even with one foot in the nursing home, Brady exploded for more than 5,300 passing yards last season while also tossing a league-leading 43 touchdown passes.

It’s not just Brady’s talent that makes him the best quarterback in the NFL though. He has a way of getting the best out of his teammates and that is an incredibly invaluable skill to have.

The old man called it quits for a brief moment earlier this year, but he’s back and likely more motivated than ever, which isn’t a good sign for the rest of the league.
