No. 32: Drew Lock (Seattle Seahawks)

After spending the last three seasons with the Denver Broncos, Drew Lock is getting a fresh start with the Seahawks. Lock was never able to find much success with the Broncos, so he’ll be hoping for a different outcome in Seattle.

He’ll be competing for the starting job with Geno Smith this summer, but Lock should be the one to emerge from this battle with the top spot on the quarterback depth chart.

From there, Lock will have the opportunity to prove that he’s better than the guy who finished with a quarterback rating of 79.3 in three seasons with Denver. Will he be able to do it?

No. 31: Marcus Mariota (Atlanta Falcons)

The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Marcus Mariota, is expected to return as a Week 1 starting quarterback for the first time since 2019.

As the backup for the Las Vegas Raiders, Mariota only threw a total of 30 passes in the last two seasons, so his passing skills are likely going to be a bit rusty in 2022. What he’ll lack in passing ability, however, he’ll be able to make up for it with his rushing skills.

Rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder could apply some heat to Mariota in training camp this summer, but the veteran should emerge as the starter for the Falcons’ Week 1 matchup.
