Heading into the 2022 NFL season, where should every projected starting signal-caller be ranked, including Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins?

During the last few months, we have seen more than a handful of starting-caliber quarterbacks switch teams. Heading into the 2022 offseason, some thought the Minnesota Vikings were going to be one of those teams to make a change under center and move on from Kirk Cousins.

Even with a new head coach and general manager now in place, however, the Vikings decided the best decision for them moving forward was to extend Cousins and keep him under contract with the team until 2024.

So instead of Minnesota finding someone new to start at quarterback this year, the new regime is going to see if they can squeeze more success out of Cousins than the previous coaching staff. It’s certainly a gamble, but new Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell has emphasized multiple times during the last few months that the team feels confident with the veteran signal-caller as their starter in 2022.

So, where should Cousins rank among the other 31 quarterbacks around the league that are projected to begin the 2022 regular season as a starter for their respective teams? Let’s rank all 32 of the projected starting signal-callers in the NFL and see where Minnesota’s top quarterback lands.
