No. 24: Trey Lance (San Francisco 49ers)

Even though Jimmy Garoppolo is still currently a member of the 49ers, the team has done everything to indicate that Trey Lance will be their starting quarterback moving forward.

In his second year with the team, San Francisco will be hoping that Lance can show more promise out on the field than what he was able to do as a rookie in 2021.

He’s in good hands though as 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan can utilize the quarterback’s versatility as both a runner and a passer to the team’s advantage. With Shanahan calling the shots, Lance has a great chance to take some major steps forward in 2022.

No. 23: Daniel Jones (New York Giants)

With the Giants for the last three seasons, Daniel Jones’ tenure in the NFL has definitely been underwhelming so far, to say the least.

But one can argue that Jones hasn’t really been put in the best situations to succeed in his three years with New York. For the 2022 season, however, the young quarterback will have a new head coach in Brian Daboll, who just helped transform Josh Allen from a very raw passing prospect into one of the best signal-callers in the entire NFL.

Jones has a great chance to have a breakout performance in 2022 with Daboll now leading the way for the Giants. But if he continues to struggle next season, then his time with New York will likely be over sooner than later.
