The Minnesota Vikings need more players to step up in 2022 if they want to have success.

There is no denying that the Minnesota Vikings have a ton of talent at the top of their roster. Headlined by superstar Justin Jefferson and a handful of the league’s top offensive weapons, things are looking promising for the Vikes.

Teams will not find success, however, unless they get significant contributions from the rest of the roster and the depth that lies behind the stars. For Minnesota, plenty of role players will need to take a major leap – or improve upon last year’s roster – for this team to achieve their dreams.

A new coaching staff is in place with a handful of newcomers to the roster that should step into large roles in their first season with the team. If the Vikings want to climb the NFC and reach the playoffs, they will rely on these guys to improve both sides of the ball in some capacity.

The roster is in a pretty good place to win some games this season but they need more depth guys to step up and take this team to new heights. Winning in the postseason is more of a testament to the entire roster rather than just the superstars.

With that in mind, which current Vikings will be the most important when it comes to taking that leap in 2022?
