Vikings Training Camp 2022: Top 5 takeaways from Day 1

Andrew Booth looks ready for action
Depth at cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings looked extremely rough after the 2021 NFL season. Thankfully, the team brought back veteran Patrick Peterson, signed Chandon Sullivan from Green Bay, and used a second-round draft pick to select Andrew Booth Jr. out of Clemson during the 2022 NFL Draft.
What looked to be a weakness for the Vikings quickly turned into a strength. Along with the returning Cameron Dantzler, the Vikings have three established corners and one player with extremely high potential on their roster.
Booth made the most of his opportunity on Day 1 by making a sliding interception of Kirk Cousins on an underthrown ball that turned the heads of most people at camp.
Not only was Booth doing the right things, but he was saying the right things. He talked about trying to learn anything he can from Patrick Peterson, being willing to be behind Cameron Dantzler on the depth chart until he earns the job, and had fun saying that he wants to be an actor when his football career is over.
It sounds like Andrew Booth Jr. might be a player to keep an eye on going forward.
