Please put your video cameras away at camp
Having fans in the stands to watch the Minnesota Vikings during their padless walkthrough was a great opportunity for those hungry to get any piece of the purple and gold they can. It may not be physical action in pads, but at least it is something.
However, the team had one request to ask of those in attendance. They asked that video not be recorded or shared of the walkthroughs during training camp so their opposition wouldn’t get any kind of hint about what the offense and defense could look like.
Chris Tomasson shared the Vikings’ plea that was posted on the scoreboard.
Sadly, the fans didn’t exactly comply. A simple search of Twitter can find any fans who not only recorded pieces of the walkthrough but shared clips on social media, directly ignoring the plea of the team.
It’s understandable that fans are excited about seeing the team but there is typically a reason the Minnesota Vikings would ask fans for such a strange request during training camp. Perhaps next time they will just not share anything close to their typical plays when fans are there.
