Andrew Booth Jr. – CB

One cannot accuse Andrew Booth Jr. of lacking confidence. The cornerback set his stall out instantly with the Minnesota Vikings throughout the first week of camp, which has left an extremely positive impression in a relatively short space of time.

Booth has constantly been trash-talking and backing it up with supreme coverage skills, according to those in attendance. The Clemson product has taken on every challenge set by the coaching staff with a steely determination that could mean a big role is coming his way right out of the gate.

Talent was not the issue that caused Booth to slide out of the first round. There were some concerns about injury complications, but it already looks like the Vikings might have a real steal on their hands if he can build on this positive momentum throughout camp.

The Vikings have Cameron Dantzler and Patrick Peterson as their projected starting cornerback tandem. However, if Booth can continue making strides, then a prominent role in the rotation is well within his capabilities.

Booth is fearless, athletic, and plays with a sense of urgency that can make him a star. Rookie corners do tend to go through their share of complications, but the Vikings couldn’t have asked for much more.

Hopefully, this is just the start.
