Garrett Bradbury – C

If anyone thought Garrett Bradbury was going to finally live up to his first-round status this year, those dreams should be dashed after the latest reports coming out of camp. Bradbury has had one major flaw in his game, and that is his inability to anchor. His lack of strength was apparent when he went up against the Bears and Packers twice a season, getting his butt knocked back into the lap of Kirk Cousins.

This fatal flaw resurfaced in training camp when the pads went on and Bradbury had to go against new Vikings nose tackle Harrison Phillips. Phillips absolutely plowed over Bradbury sending him on his back and into the backfield. He was then beaten by him on the next play, clearly showing that Bradbury is who he is and the Vikings will again have a major liability in the middle of their offensive line.

It’ll be interesting to see how long the Vikings’ new coaching staff will put up with Bradbury if this continues into the next handful of practices. They don’t have great replacement options on the roster with Austin Schlottman and Josh Sokol getting the majority of the second-team reps. JC Tretter is still available, so maybe the Vikings will go that route if they believe Bradbury’s inability to anchor will cost them games or put their quarterback’s health at risk.
