Dantzler vs. Booth might come down to the wire

During the early part of this year’s training camp, Vikings cornerbacks Andrew Booth Jr. and Cameron Dantzler have been having an intense competition to be the team’s other starting corner with Patrick Peterson.

Booth didn’t waste any time once camp began as his interception of Kirk Cousins was one of the top highlights from Minnesota’s very first full-team practice of the summer.

The rookie corner didn’t stop there though. The very next day, Booth was getting in the faces of Vikings wide receivers and letting them know they weren’t going to catch anything if he was covering them.

Dantzler has been making a bunch of plays of his own too. In his third training camp with Minnesota, the young corner has come up with multiple pass breakups when he’s been tasked with covering some of the Vikings’ best receivers.

With the way Booth and Dantzler have been performing so far this summer, we likely won’t know who will be named Minnesota’s No. 2 cornerback until right before the start of the regular season.
