A cornerback is emerging

The defensive backs for the Minnesota Vikings started out as a big need for the team when the 2021 season closed. Bringing back Patrick Peterson, signing Chandon Sullivan, and using draft picks to add Andrew Booth Jr. and Akayleb Evans to add to a group that already has Cameron Dantzler made it a strength.

It was anticipated that Andrew Booth Jr. might need a little time to adjust to practices after dealing with an injury during his final year of the college season. As it turns out, he arrived ready for action with a ton of confidence.

So far, analysts and fans have been gushing about what they’re seen from the 21-year-old Clemson defender. He is playing like he truly wants to win a starting role as a rookie and has been saying all the things a player should be saying as a young defender in the league.

Booth has said he wants to continue absorbing knowledge from Patrick Peterson and keep grinding until he earns his place. If he continues playing the way he has during camp, the Vikings will have no choice other than to move him into the starting unit.
