4 major observations from Kirk Cousins in Vikings training camp so far

Kirk Cousins picked up where he left off with WRs
One thing that cannot be said of the Vikings is they lack flamboyance within their skill positions. Perhaps the scheme was somewhat rigid during the Kubiak eras, but in terms of their talent, there aren’t many better offenses around.
Kirk Cousins’ production from a statistical standpoint is of a high standard. So if Kevin O’Connell can unlock more from his pass-catchers in an expansive system that relies less on the run, then the Vikings will be a fun team to watch in 2022.
It’s only training camp, but Cousins seems to have picked up where he left off with his top wide receiver trio. Something that will stand the team in tremendous stead if it transitions over into the regular season.
Justin Jefferson is already a superstar after a phenomenal start to his Vikings career. Any further increase in production could see him emerge as a possible Triple Crown contender, which will undoubtedly result in Minnesota shelling out a whopping contract to keep him around long-term.
There is also the presence of veteran Pro Bowler Adam Thielen, which will help an enormous amount providing the wideout can stay clear of injury. Cousins also has a true No. 3 option in the form of K.J. Osborn, who earned his trust quickly in 2021 en route to a breakout campaign.
If all three reach or even exceed expectations and Cousins also remains consistent, then it’s hard to gauge just how high Minnesota’s ceiling is on offense.
