Somehow Myles Dorn is entering his third season with the Vikings despite amassing just three tackles in that span. He has battled injuries his entire tenure with the team, but last year was able to appear in nine games.

The big question this year when it comes to Minnesota’s safety position is will they keep four or just three? Harrison Smith, Cam Bynum, and Lewis Cine are all safe, and now the battle comes down to Myles Dorn and Josh Metellus for that final spot.

We’ve heard plenty of news about the top three safeties on this team and even have seen a few shots of Metellus playing with the twos. The news on Dorn has been very scant, and it makes one wonder if he’s even out there at all.

Dorn will definitely have limited opportunities in the rest of camp, but he needs to start doing something to generate some buzz and ultimately ascend himself up the depth chart. The fact that news on him has been so silent leads one to believe his tenure with the Vikings could be coming to an end.
