The Minnesota Vikings will make some important roster decisions over the next few weeks before the start of the 2022 season.

Training camp and preseason action give us an early look at which Minnesota Vikings will make an impact throughout the season. Earlier this week I took a glance at some unproven players that could sneak onto the final 53-man roster after preseason action.

This time around, I will select a handful of veterans that will lose their spots to those other guys as the front office trims the roster down to the best 53 players. There are always sacrifices to make and fan favorites are destined to move on despite stellar performances in exhibitions.

Minnesota has to turn in a better season than they have over the past two years before things really turn sour within the fanbase. A fresh coaching staff, front office, and defense are expected to do the trick but the product on the field has to take a massive leap.

As the team searches for a new identity, it may be time to move on from a handful of veterans that have not performed well. Whether injuries have slowed them down or their on-field production has underwhelmed, the Vikings cannot continue to rely on certain guys.

As the preseason opener awaits, which veterans have to step up and show that they are capable of helping this team? If not, they will be out the door and looking for a spot on another roster.
