Josh Sokol

If Chris Reed is the favorite and Austin Schlottmann is the dark horse, then Josh Sokol is the extreme longshot to be the starting center in 2022 based on his lack of experience playing on an NFL-caliber offensive line.

Josh Sokol is an undrafted free agent out of Sacred Heart University who showed potential at the college level. The 6’3, 290-pound lineman was a team captain for two seasons before joining the NFL.

At 24 years old, Sokol isn’t high on the team’s depth chart for offensive lineman and would be extremely fortunate to make the team’s 53-man roster and is most likely a candidate for the practice squad instead.

Sokol will need to be hugely impressive as a rookie in training camp and the preseason in order to even have a chance at starting at center. Even though it’s extremely unlikely, it is still possible the young man can win the job.
