J.C. Tretter – Free Agent

Many fans have been pounding the table for the Minnesota Vikings to sign J.C. Tretter this season. Those fans were well aware of the struggles Garrett Bradbury was experiencing at center and expected these struggles this season.

Tretter was a fourth-round pick out of Cornell who was drafted by the Packers in 2013. He spent three seasons in Green Bay before shifting to the Cleveland Browns for the next five seasons of his career and was released in March 2022.

It’s surprising Tretter hasn’t been getting more workouts to this point. There are several teams who need help at center yet the 6’4, 307-pound blocker hasn’t been getting much attention in free agency.

If he is physically good to go, having a high-character player who is the President of the NFL Players Association could be a huge assett, especially if he can play at a solid level on the offensive line. If nothing, the Minnesota Vikings should kick the tires on Tretter.
