The Minnesota Vikings will open the 2022 preseason against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, but will we learn anything about this team?

The Minnesota Vikings are set to open the preseason on Sunday afternoon when they travel to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. The opening game of the preseason is a big event for fans who miss football, but for the teams playing in the game, it’s another step in the grind toward the regular season.

The good news is the Vikings could be an exception. Sunday’s game is the unofficial start to the Kevin O’Connell era and while the Sean McVay protege may not fully reveal his plans, there should be enough to hint at what’s to come.

That includes the quarterback position where Kellen Mond is looking to win the backup job. Garrett Bradbury is attempting to fend off Chris Reed for the starting center position and several other young players will look to make their mark.

That should be enough to glue Minnesota fans to their screens and it’s enough for us to make some bold predictions. We’ll discuss five of the biggest storylines heading into Sunday’s game and what each prediction means for the future of the 2022 Vikings.
