Some Vikings fans are probably sick of hearing about Kyle Sloter by now. But the former Minnesota quarterback has continued to fight for his dreams since he was let go by the franchise before the start of the 2019 season.

Since his departure from the Twin Cities, the preseason legend has had stints around the NFL with multiple teams including the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Most recently, Sloter was let go by the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that signed the quarterback following an intriguing performance as a starting signal-caller in the USFL.

This is the backup position we’re talking about, so the Vikings wouldn’t need Sloter to come in and fight to be the starter obviously. But if Kirk Cousins has to miss any time during the upcoming season, Sloter would give them a much better chance to win a game or two than Sean Mannion or Kellen Mond.
