Johnny Mundt, tight end

So far, not much is known about what Johnny Mundt brings to the Minnesota Vikings. With the thumb injury to Irv Smith Jr. keeping him out of action, Mundt is set to act as the team’s first-string tight end until Smith is recovered.

Mostly known for being a blocking tight end, Munde will get the chance to prove he can be a reliable receiver as well as a blocker. That would be great since there is a chance that Smith could miss more time than expected during his recovery.

Ed Ingram, guard

The battle for who will start at right guard is still happening and it appears as though the two favorites at this point should be Jesse Davis and Ed Ingram. Davis has been taking the majority of first-team reps in training camp but Ingram could get a longer look with a good showing against the Raiders.

As Ingram adjusts to the NFL level and continues to grow and develop as a player, he should eventually unseat Davis as the starter. But does that transition start Sunday against the Raiders or will it take some time for the fierce blocker to win his role?
