There were some interesting things to be learned about the Minnesota Vikings from their loss to the Raiders in Week 1 of the preseason.

Fans of the Minnesota Vikings had to wait until the last game of the preseason in Week 1 to see their favorite team in action. Their opponent in the exhibition game on Sunday was the Las Vegas Raiders, a team expected to push for the playoffs this year.

The Raiders had already gotten some exhibition experience thanks to taking part in the Hall of Fame Game, but this would be the first opportunity for the purple and gold to show what they can do on a national stage.

Although some of Minnesota’s starters sat the game out, there were still plenty of players to observe during the team’s 20-26 loss in Las Vegas, including players fighting for starting jobs and roster spots.

Let’s take a look at seven of the biggest takeaways from the Week 1 preseason contest between the Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders and what they could mean for the team going forward.
