A couple of players likely lost roster spots

While some players had really good games, others failed to impress. In the preseason, a player can lose their grip on a roster spot pretty quickly if they fail to impress or continue to make the same mistakes over and over.

Sadly, tight end Zach Davidson may be on the outside looking in now that he has shown inconsistent hands as a receiver. The tall project player doesn’t look like he’s ready for the main roster, and will likely be a practice squad player this year as he continues to grow and develop.

There should be some competition for a spot at safety, but it likely won’t be Mike Brown who gets the job. Brown made some rookie mistakes and needs more time before he’s NFL ready and that could mean time on the practice squad.

It isn’t to say that these aren’t talented players with potential. It just means they might not be ready to contribute at this moment in time. With some experience and coaching, both will be back with another chance.
