6 biggest takeaways from Vikings vs. 49ers in preseason Week 2
By Adam Carlson
The Vikings are giving absolutely nothing away
It all started when the Minnesota Vikings asked fans at open practices not to record their plays. Now, the most vanilla plays and formations are being used in the preseason to evaluate the talent on the roster.
When the actual season rolls around, nobody will know much of anything about this team other than which players will be on the field, which could be a real benefit against the teams they face early in the season.
The other side of that coin is that the team needs to be ready without preseason game experience. They will need to be prepared based on practices and learning the playbook, which is a bit of responsibility for players.
It will be interesting to see what the Minnesota Vikings will actually do when they actually take the field during the regular season. Will it take a bit to execute or shake off rust? It sure will be fun to find out.
