Vikings 53-man roster prediction after Week 2 of the 2022 preseason
By Adam Patrick
Inside Linebackers (4)
IN
- Eric Kendricks
- Jordan Hicks
- Brian Asamoah
- Troy Dye
OUT
- Blake Lynch
- Chazz Surratt
- William Kwenkeu
Troy Dye has been in the starting lineup for both of Minnesota’s preseason games this year, so that’s probably a pretty good sign that they would like to keep him around for the regular season.
Dye had an okay showing against the Las Vegas Raiders in the Vikings’ first exhibition matchup, but he looked much better out on the field against the 49ers this past weekend.
Cornerbacks (6)
IN
- Patrick Peterson
- Cameron Dantzler
- Chandon Sullivan
- Andrew Booth Jr.
- Akayleb Evans
- Kris Boyd
OUT
- Harrison Hand
- Parry Nickerson
- Nate Hairston
If not for Andrew Booth Jr.’s injury on Saturday, Kris Boyd would have likely been among Minnesota’s final cuts this summer (and he still could be). But with Booth’s status for the regular-season opener potentially in question now, the Vikings will probably keep Boyd around to make sure they have at least five healthy corners for their Week 1 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
