Myron Mitchell – WR

When Vikings training camp first began this summer, Myron Mitchell was someone who a few people thought might be able to sneak onto the team’s final roster this year.

Mitchell went on to perform fairly well throughout camp, and during Minnesota’s first preseason game this year against the Las Vegas Raiders, he even made a pretty impressive catch.

The problem for Mitchell is that he’s a part of a position group that is one of the deepest on the Vikings’ entire roster this year. At best, he’s probably seventh on Minnesota’s wide receiver depth chart behind Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Bisi Johnson, and Jalen Nailor.

When it comes time for the Vikings to make their final cuts this summer, Mitchell will likely be shown the door. However, Minnesota will probably attempt to sign him to their practice squad for the second year in a row. At the same time though, don’t be surprised if another team attempts to claim him before he clears waivers.
