Bryant Koback – RB

On the offensive side of the ball, rookie running back Ty Chandler has stood out more than almost any player for the Vikings this preseason. But Chandler isn’t the only rookie running back on Minnesota’s roster this summer.

Following the draft where the Vikings selected Chandler in the fifth round, they also signed an undrafted rookie running back by the name of Bryant Koback who spent his college career at Toledo.

In Koback’s four years at Toledo, he rushed for more than 4,000 yards, averaged 6.3 yards per touch, and scored a total of 52 touchdowns. No one is going to argue against these numbers being impressive.

Koback has had a decent preseason with Minnesota this summer (nine touches for 33 yards), but with the success of Chandler during the last few weeks, there just isn’t enough room for him to remain on the team’s final 2022 roster.

Given how productive Koback was in college though, and the fact that he’s made it past the first two phases of cuts, the Vikings will likely attempt to sign the rookie running back to their practice squad this year.
