The Minnesota Vikings likely have their starting group of interior linebackers for this season all set. Eric Kendricks will return to be a solid force in all phases of the game while Jordan Hicks joins the team to be another line of defense to stop ballcarriers.

General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah must have been a big fan of what linebacker Brian Asamoah brings to the team since they used a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on the former Oklahoma defender.

At 6′ and 226 pounds, Asamoah has a lot to offer. He is a quick player on the field and could be used all over the field. Thanks to his speed, he can drop into coverage as well as rush the quarterback if needed.

Asamoah may need time to grow into a regular role on the roster, but keeping him as a backup adds depth and versatility to a roster that is already jam-packed with talent at every single level of the defense.
