Final Vikings 53-man roster prediction before the 2022 regular season

If there were any doubts about rookie Ty Chandler securing a spot on Minnesota’s final 53-man roster this year, those were quickly erased during the team’s final preseason game. Chandler rushed for 44 yards on five carries during the Vikings’ exhibition matchup against the Denver Broncos, and he finished the 2022 preseason as Minnesota’s leader in rushing yards.
Given his performance during the last few weeks, it’s not crazy to think that he’s deserving of opening the regular season in the No. 3 spot on the Vikings’ running back depth chart ahead of Kene Nwangwu.

Against the Broncos this past Saturday, Ihmir Smith-Marsette continued to prove why there are no doubts about his status on Minnesota’s final roster as he hauled in three passes for 63 yards.
Unfortunately, it sounds like Bisi Johnson was going to be a part of the Vikings’ final 53 this year, but a torn ACL for the second summer in a row is going to prevent him from stepping on the field this season.
