The Minnesota Vikings have filled 12 of the 16 spots on the practice squad with familiar faces heading into the 2022 NFL season.

Roster cuts are one of the hardest times for many players hoping to keep their dreams alive in the NFL. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings are forced to make some difficult decisions and part ways with some individuals who show potential.

Thankfully, that doesn’t mean these players are gone forever from the organization. There is a 16-man practice squad where players on the fringe can continue to grow and develop while working with a professional coaching staff.

Each of those players is hoping for another opportunity to work their way onto the team’s 53-man roster while the team looks to stash players who may come in handy during the NFL season.

Who made the Minnesota Vikings practice squad?

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, the Vikings released their list of 12 players who have been signed to the team’s practice squad. Here are the individuals who are a part of the squad according to the squad’s official website.

Chisena and Dorn were added to the list as exceptions while Nickerson joins the team as a veteran. Otherwise, the remaining nine players are signed to the squad without exception.

The most notable players on the practice squad are special teams player Dan Chisena, tight end Nick Muse who made the PFF team for Week 2 of the preseason, and resilient defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman.

Congratulations to these players for making the practice squad and continuing their journey with the Minnesota Vikings.
