5 players the Vikings could trade for before the 2022 regular season

Chris Wormley – DE (Pittsburgh Steelers)
The Vikings have spent a lot of money in recent offseasons to rebuild and revamp their defensive line. So why is there a defensive lineman on this list? The answer is simple. Minnesota lacks depth along the line.
Backup defensive ends for the Vikings include James Lynch, Ross Blacklock, and rookie Esezi Otomewon. With Lynch potentially being in the position to move to nose tackle, the depth at defensive end gets even thinner for Minnesota,
Chris Wormley is a player coming off a productive 2021 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in which he finished with a career-high seven sacks. The problem for Wormley however is that he is on a Steelers team that is incredibly deep at the defensive line position, especially after drafting former Texas A&M standout DeMarvin Leal in the third round earlier this year.
The Vikings need security and depth across the defensive line, and Pittsburgh may have exactly what they are looking for with Wormley.
