Ryan Wright – P
One of the surprises of the summer for the Vikings was definitely Ryan Wright winning the punter job over Jordan Berry. An undrafted rookie out of Tulane, Wright clearly impressed Minnesota’s coaching staff enough for them to show Berry the door.
Chandon Sullivan – Nickel CB
After a disastrous performance by Mackensie Alexander in 2021, the Vikings brought in former Packers defender Chandon Sullivan to be their slot corner this season.
Even though he’s not technically part of Minnesota’s starting defense, Sullivan will still probably be on the field for more than half of the team’s defensive snaps in 2022.
Jalen Reagor – PR/WR
Acquired in a recent trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Reagor appears to be who the Vikings have in mind to open up the 2022 season as their punt returner.
This addition has the potential to turn out well for Minnesota considering that Reagor had PFF’s second-best punt return grade in 2021 among players with 20 punt returns or more.
