Next 6 Games on the Vikings 2022 Schedule

Week 8 – Arizona Cardinals (12 pm CT kickoff)

After missing a game-winning field goal against the Cardinals last season, Greg Joseph avenged Minnesota’s 2021 loss by converting all four of his field-goal attempts in this matchup, including one from 60 yards away.

Prediction – Vikings win 33-21 (6-1)

Week 9 – at Washington Commanders (12 pm CT kickoff)

In his return to Washington for the first time since he left them for the Twin Cities in 2018, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins felt the need to try and prove to his old team that they should have never let him walk out the door.

Unfortunately, Cousins tried a little too hard, and it led to him committing three costly turnovers that ultimately handed Minnesota their second loss of the season.

Prediction – Vikings lose 17-13 (6-2)

Week 10 – at Buffalo Bills (12 pm CT kickoff)

A preview of this season’s Super Bowl? Whoa now, let’s not get too carried away (or maybe we should?). But in a matchup where not many people gave the Vikings too much of a chance, they were able to hang with the Bills all game long until former Minnesota wide receiver Stefon Diggs hauled in a victory-sealing touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

Prediction – Vikings lose 34-24 (6-3)

Week 11 – Dallas Cowboys (3:25 pm CT kickoff)

Everyone’s focus heading into this contest was the matchup between Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson and Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. Knowing Dallas was going to place a heavy emphasis on shutting Jefferson down, Minnesota countered with a game plan that featured a big dose of running back Dalvin Cook.

The strategy totally caught the Cowboys off guard and Cook’s performance played a large part in the Vikings snapping their two-game losing streak.

Prediction – Vikings win 30-23 (7-3)

Week 12 – New England Patriots (7:20 pm CT on Thanksgiving night)

As the rest of the country stuffed their bellies full of food on his national holiday, Minnesota attempted to get their first-ever win over the Patriots with Bill Belichick as their head coach.

New England kept the game close, but a two-touchdown performance from Adam Thielen, and the Vikings coming up with three interceptions proved to be too much for Belichick’s squad to overcome.

Prediction – Vikings win 27-14 (8-3)

Week 13 – New York Jets (12 pm CT kickoff)

After leading Minnesota to a win in Week 12 over the team that drafted him when he was a young quarterback, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell made sure his new team got the victory over the Jets, another one of his former employers during his time as an NFL player.

Minnesota receiver Jalen Reagor had the play of the day though when he took a punt and returned it 73 yards the other way for an easy touchdown.

Prediction – Vikings win 42-17 (9-3)
