Which Minnesota Vikings have their hype train rolling after the team’s Week 1 clash against the Green Bay Packers?

After one of the more eventful offseasons in recent memory, the Minnesota Vikings finally got their 2022 campaign underway against the Green Bay Packers. An instant chance for head coach Kevin O’Connell to set the tone against their fierce NFC North rivals.

There were storylines aplenty leading up to the contest. Minnesota’s new regime brought fresh hope of a playoff return, with many also wondering how Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would fare without the benefit of All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams after he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The atmosphere was rocking at U.S. Bank Stadium. And the fans went home extremely happy following a performance of the highest standard en route to a 23-7 success.

With that being said, here are four Vikings whose hype train is rolling after a thrilling Week 1 encounter versus Green Bay.

There was a solid amount of intrigue surrounding the Vikings’ defense, which was switching to a 3-4 scheme under new defensive coordinator Ed Donatell. To say the transition was smooth would be an understatement, with Minnesota causing havoc from start to finish and restricting Green Bay to one touchdown which came on the ground.

Everyone was aware of their responsibilities and everything looked cohesive throughout. A far cry from how the defensive group performed last season, which was the last for previous head coach Mike Zimmer.

It was a tremendous start, but no more than that. Hopefully, this can provide Donatell and the defense with the foundation needed to go on to great things in 2022.
