Adam Thielen – WR

It was a very quiet day for Adam Thielen. He finished the day with three receptions for 36 yards on just four targets.

The low fantasy output will likely stand out as one of the outlier performances of the season as the Vikings and every team in the league ramp up production. This game didn’t really need Thielen or any of the other receiving options to do much as Justin Jefferson kicked into overdrive on his path to a career-best outing against Minnesota’s divisional rivals.

Thielen looked fast and strong, and he will have several weeks where he dominates the red zone and snags a touchdown pass. The Vikings will turn to Thielen, and other members of the supporting cast in the future as Jefferson inevitably draws several defenders his way to prevent an onslaught of chunk plays.

Thielen can be fired up in your starting lineup when the Vikings face the Eagles on the road next Monday. The primetime game will almost certainly have many explosive plays from both offenses in what could be one of the best offensive battles of the early season.
