After a big win in Week 1, the Minnesota Vikings will attempt to improve their 2022 record to 2-0 when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.

Fresh off an impressive win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, the Minnesota Vikings will head out on the road next Monday for Week 2 showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles are coming off a win themselves, as they managed to get a three-point road victory over the Detroit Lions in their regular-season opener. Both Minnesota and Philadelphia will be looking to establish themselves as a threat in the NFC this year by getting a win on Monday night.

Will the Vikings deliver another surprisingly impressive performance in Week 2, or will facing a tough opponent under the bright lights in a tough environment result in their first loss of the 2022 season?

Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles prediction Week 2

Even before Minnesota’s big NFC North contest against Green Bay in Week 1, their second matchup of the season with the Eagles was viewed by some as the toughest game of the first two weeks on the Vikings’ schedule.

Philadelphia just isn’t an easy place for any team to play since their fan base is extremely passionate. However, Minnesota actually came away with a win in their last road matchup against the Eagles in 2019. So it’s not like it will be impossible for the Vikings to get a victory in Week 2.

If Minnesota is going to leave the field next Monday with a win though, they’ll have to figure out a better way to stop the run. Last week, the Vikings’ defense allowed their opponent to average 6.2 rushing yards per carry, and now they’ll be taking on a Philadelphia offense that rushed for 216 yards in their regular-season opener.

At the same time, the Eagles will have to figure out how to contain Minnesota wide receiver Justin Jefferson. And considering what Jefferson did in Week 1, Philadelphia is likely going to struggle against the Vikings’ star receiver next Monday.

    Prediction: Vikings win
