Pressure allowed by the interior of the offensive line

Even though the Vikings have a brand new coaching staff, the same problem from the last few years still made an appearance in the team’s regular-season opener last week.

Minnesota’s interior offensive line, led by center Garrett Bradbury, has struggled in pass protection for the last few years, and that continued last weekend against the Packers.

According to PFF, Bradbury and rookie right guard Ed Ingram allowed the most pressures last week among Vikings offensive linemen. Bradbury allowed four pressures while Ingram allowed five pressures and he also gave up a sack.

In Week 2, Minnesota’s interior offensive line will be going up against an Eagles pass rush that generated 14 pressures against the Lions last weekend. Philadelphia is probably licking their chops at the thought of facing Bradbury and Ingram, so the Vikings need to come up with a plan before next Monday to eliminate the impact of any pressure that their interior offensive line gives up.
